Discover now the competitors for the Startup Competition

 ​Startups competing in the "Startup of the Year" category at the FABA 2020 will present their project to the public during a special showcase & pitching contest early in August 2020.
Meet the founders, vote for your favorite project, and network with entrepreneurs, business angels, VCs and guests!
  • Each startup will have a demo area and attendees will be called to virtually fund the ones they feel are the most promising
  • The five projects with the highest funds will then pitch to the audience
  • The final vote will be held during the FABA Ceremony and determine the "People's Choice Prize" of the FABA Startup 2020

​The Jury's Prize will be determined in the meantime by a panel of VCs and corporate executives. 
Both awards will be revealed at the ceremony of the FABA, on May 21st. 

Timeline: August 20th!
  • 5:30-7:00pm: Networking cocktail & Startup exhibition
  • 7:00-8:00pm: Pitching contest
  • 8:00-9:00pm: Vote, networking & cocktail including complimentary drinks and small bites.

All companies competing in the "Startup of the Year" category at the FABA 2020meet the following criteria:
  • 2 years or less of existence / or product or service in the market (or BETA) for less than 2 years
  • Have a French or dual citizen founder or CEO
  • 2 years or less of existence / or product or service in the market (or BETA) for less than 2 years
  • Funding received is limited to seed round
  • Based in the Bay Area
    or Based in France with a current development in the Bay Area
    or Based in France with a future project of development in the Bay Area

Competition is open to any company that fit the criteria by submission of an application form. Applications will close on May 31st 2020. All companies which returned a complete application form are considered.
