Philippe Kahn is a mathematician, technology innovator, entrepreneur and founder of four successful technology companies: Fullpower-AI (contactless bio-sensing medical and wellness solutions), LightSurf ( creator of the Camera-Phone), Starfish (Wireless OTA Synchronization), and Borland (Professional Development Tools for C, C++, Prolog, assembler, Pascal). He is the author of 235+ technology patents covering Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI) modeling, sleep, wearable, eyewear, smartphone, mobile, imaging, wireless, synchronization and medical technologies. |
Philippe is credited with creating the first camera phone solution to share photos instantly over public cell phone networks. During his daughter’s birth on June 11th, 1997, Philippe completed his first camera phone prototype by wiring a digital camera to a mobile phone and uploading an image to his home-based web server, to share the photo in real-time with several hundred contacts.
Philippe Kahn has received numerous awards, including his induction into the industry hall of fame, recognition by BYTE Magazine as one of the Top 20 Most Important People in the history of the computer industry, selection for Upside Magazine’s Elite 100 list, as well as being the recipient of numerous awards for innovation and technical excellence.
Philippe Kahn's most recent company, Fullpower-AI, is at the forefront of merging Generative AI with biosensing technology, aiming to transform how we monitor and understand biological signals. Fullpower-AI focuses on creating algorithms and technologies that precisely monitor biosignals like sleep patterns, heart rate, and physical activity. Using Generative AI, Fullpower-AI can analyze and predict health outcomes, offer personalized health advice, and possibly detect early signs of diseases before they are noticeable through traditional methods. This includes breathing anomalies, apnea, COPD, asthma, Sleep quality, etc.
Kahn's pioneering approach combines sophisticated AI technologies, such as machine learning, generative AI, and neural networks, with biosensing, creating intelligent technologies that adapt and respond in real-time to an individual's unique biosignals. This offers personalized health monitoring and analysis in real-time and advances the field of health technology. Philippe studied at the ETH in Zurich Switzerland and Sofia-Antipolis, France, receiving his Master’s Degree in Mathematics. Philippe also earned his Master’s Degree in classical flute, with simultaneous minors in composition and chamber music from the Zurich Music Conservatory.
